Ayur Yoga Massage
is the Indian art of touch in combination of Ayurveda and Yoga. The founder Kusum Modak was a student of Yogamaster B.K.S. Iyengar from Pune (India) for 20 years, before she started to use this knowledge of therapeutic Iyengar Yoga to combine it with traditional Ayurvedic massage techniques.
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a unique style of massage that combines deep tissue massage with coordinated breathwork and yoga stretching. The session is performed on a mat for free movement and flow. These techniques incorporate the use of the hands and feet as tools for massage. The utilisation of the feet allows for deeper and more thorough pressure through long and graceful strokes.
The deep tissue massage helps to remove knots and adhesions in the muscles, releases tension and prepares the body of the receiver for assisted intense but sensitive yoga stretching.
Together with a little oil, the Ayurvedic plant powder Kalamus is applied to the skin. Kalmus, in addition to a slight peeling effect, has a detoxifying and toning effect on the nervous system. Excess liquids are pulled out of the tissue, which, for example, can positively influence the breakdown of cellulite.
This soothing body massage strengthens the immune system and effectively counteracts stress and tension. After several or regular applications, you will feel noticeably more flexible, your movements will become more fluid and your posture and breathing will improve.
Experience has shown that this massage unfolds its best effect in its entirety. That's why it is offered as a full body massage within minimum 90 to 120 minutes.
During a series of sessions, I can compose from the total program, the optimal massage for you within 60-100 min.
On request, of course, a shorter, partial body massage is possible as well.
